Oh Monroe, GA. The first weekend this month I attended a friend's wedding in Monroe, Georgia. It was the first wedding of a friend's I've attended and while it was surprising I am truly happy for my friend and hope she has a lifetime of happiness.
Monroe is a very unique town in the middle of nowhere Georgia. I stayed at the best hotel I've been to which I will write about later. There's not much around Monroe, it's about an hour from Atlanta and an hour or more from anything else. But it was wonderfully picturesque and a cute location for a wedding.
The wedding was lovely, in the backyard of my friend's aunt's house. Beautiful ceremony under a trellis built by her brother who also presided over the ceremony. It was a small wedding of close family and friends and I was truly honored to be apart of it.
May your coffins be made of 100 year old oak;
And may you plant that tree, together, tomorrow.
